All of our Arborist/Sales representatives are Certified Arborists through the International Society of Arborists. They are required to attend continuing education classes on a regular basis to stay abreast of the newest trends in the care of trees and treatment of disease. In addition, our Arborists consult with tree experts all over the United States and Canada to exchange ideas and knowledge.
Meet our Arborists:
George La May-Founder of La May's Tree Service. George has been the driving force behind the business. He has been climbing trees since the 70's and is the past President of Long Island Arborist Association. He is also a Past President the Cornell Cooperative Education Foundation and current member of the Board of Directors.
Jason La May- Jason has been in the tree industry since he was a young boy. He is now the manager of La May's Tree Service and La May's Wood Products. His knowledge of trees and job assessment skills allow him to price a job to benefit you the consumer. Jason is an ISA Certified Arborist.
Bob Iwanejko- Is an ISA Certified Arborist and is the "go to guy" if you need your tree vistas pruned to enhance a view, or if you just need a pruning job. Bob has been with the company for over 20 years and has developed relationships with not only clients, but with municipalities in and around Suffolk county. He knows all about permits and special permissions needed.
Tommy Patterson, also a life long horticulturalist and an ISA Certified Arborist, is the manager of our Trees on the Move division. His unique knowledge of how trees grow, their root structure etc. helps to decide whether a tree can be pruned or moved at any particular time.
Joshua Fratti- Joshua is an ISA Certified Arborist as well as a NY State DEC Certified Applicator. He has vast knowledge of landscape trees and shrubs and the many pests and problems that can affect them. He is our main Plant Heath Care technician.
